Where does your chopsticks come from?
We receive over 500.000 used chopsticks from donation, diverting them from the landfill. In return, their waste disposal costs are reduced while supporting an environmentally friendly cause.

Do you sanitize the used chopsticks?
When we process the used chopsticks, anything that doesn’t belong is removed. After that we wash them to remove all the oil and bacteria which then it will go through sterilization process by heat by industrial oven. On top of it we will also put it into UV light room to make sure our end product are sterilized.
How do i take care of Boolet’s product?
For furniture, please place it in the most consistent room temperature environment. For chopping board and coaster, these items are not dishwasher, oven or microwave safe. To clean, use a damp cloth to wipe the surface or hand wash. Dry by placing the product vertically to ensure uniform drying. Use a few drop of lemon juice to luke warm water to clean to maintain your natural finish.
Apply a food safe mineral oil to the surface of the product frequently to protect and maintain the surface. Apply the oil in the grain direction.
How do you turn the used chopsticks into tiles as raw material?
After the sterilization process, we coat all of our now sterilized chopstick with resin which also can be fully recycled. We then put them into a mould then put them into our custom hydraulic press with heat temperature machine.
When resin-coated chopsticks are exposed to high temperatures during the manufacturing process, the resin undergoes a chemical reaction that strengthens the tile and activates its strong bonding properties.
What type of chopsticks do you take?
We take both bamboo and wooded used chopsticks. In Indonesia, more than 90% of disposable chopsticks are made of bamboo and the rest are made of wood.
What do you do with the production waste?
Our aim is to have zero waste by maximizing every part of our production. For example, resin is recycled until it is fully utilized. Production waste is stored and used for other small products such as keychains and zero waste tables.
